A retired Marine Corps Colonel, Baron has 40 years of leadership, management, and mentoring experience. His professional career spans a diverse spectrum of positions: fighter pilot, instructor, strategist, intelligence officer, professor, commander, and finally, business executive, entrepreneur, and consultant. Currently, Baron serves as the CEO of ELS. Based in Abilene, Texas, ELS is a sales, distribution, engineering, and service company that has been the premier distributor of the nanoActiv® family of advanced nanoparticle technologies for the oil and gas industry, designed to improve production in new and existing oil and gas wells. nanoActiv® was developed and is produced by Nissan Chemical America Corporation (NCAC), a subsidiary of Nissan Chemical Corporation, Japan. Over the last two years, ELS has been responsible for 95% of NCAC’s nanoActiv® sales, treating over 160 wells, from 46 clients, across 7 major basins in the United States and Canada, with a success rate of 70%. nanoActiv® represents a $2 billion market potential in the U.S. alone.
Baron’s long history of successful business and military leadership positions gives him a unique perspective that blends the best practices of both worlds. A native of Germany, Baron is bilingual (English and German) and holds two master’s degrees.
Civilian Career Upon retirement from the military in 2007, Baron joined Western Commerce Group as Managing Director. Western Commerce group is a regional M&A investment banking, private equity, wealth management, and consulting group based in Fort Worth, Texas. In 2008, Baron was asked to join HSC as its COO. HSC is a privately held oilfield, industrial, and mining supply, services, and manufacturing company with more than 20 locations nationwide. Baron stayed with HSC until August 2014, when he founded Vital Strategies Management Consulting (VSMC). Vital Strategies was an advisory, management consulting, coaching, and keynote speaking firm specializing in helping businesses, financial institutions, leadership teams, and executives improve performance and achieve their goals. Based on his professional engagement with ELS, Baron was asked to join their leadership team as CEO in April of 2016.
Alexander Christodoulakis is an International Financier and as CEO of PBS SA Capital Group, is the lead investment executive who manages an international portfolio of companies, including Portland Marine Group of Companies. PBS SA, a financial group, has a constantly growing diversified international portfolio of companies under its management.
PBS SA Capital oversees a comprehensive global portfolio of company- group asset holdings in markets, ranging from transport, shipping and energy to other industrial sectors. The main operations of PBS SA Capital are in financial services, alternative asset management, capital markets and corporate management services.
In recent years, Alexander’s activities have been focused on a growth strategy. His main focus has been to grow, expand and re-position companies. His previous experience in this key strategy made him one of the world’s youngest successful asset managers, for his age, at the time; resulting in the management of one of the world’s largest shipbuilding portfolios, including a world- class, largest in the sector, clean-tech portfolio.
Alexander’s Family History Predominately focusing on Alexander Christodoulakis’ maternal grandfather’s side of the family, according to the Archives of the Hellenic Institute in Venice, Italy, which initiated the Institute of Byzantine and post-Byzantine studies, the farthest that the family can date itself is the 13th century AD. It is considered to be one of the most ancient documented Hellenic families. The family’s official Venetian documentation- ‘Hellenic Society of Venice- Summario Leggi Scuola Greca, Mariegola, Capitolare’- is in the beginning of the 15th century AD before the fall of Constantinople, 1453.
Carl Germano, CNS, CDN is a NY Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist and Vice President for Verdant Oasis. He holds a masters degree in clinical nutrition from New York University and has over 35 years experience as VP of product development for several of the largest vitamin supplement companies in the trade.
He previously served as Chief Science Officer for Inergetics, Inc., Vice President of Product Development & Research for Solgar Vitamin & Herb Company, Nutratech, and Country Life Vitamins and as a consultant for Ajinomoto and Bluebonnet Nutrition. In addition, he has been instrumental in bringing cutting-edge nutritional materials and finished product formulations to a variety of markets including dietary supplements, medical foods, and functional beverages.
Today, he continues his efforts in product development and research and is responsible for providing the industry with the next generation of clinically important phytocannabinoid ingredients. Previously, he had spearheaded phytocannabinoid initiatives for several companies and now for Verdant Oasis – a major grower, developer, cultivator and extractor of multi spectrum phytocannabinoid rich hemp oil.
A prolific author with several bestselling trade books including “The Misled Athlete”, “Natures Pain Killers”, “The Osteoporosis Solution”, “The Brain Wellness Plan” and his most recent “Road To Ananda: The Simple Illustrated Guide To The Endocannabinoid System.
He is a frequent lecturer and radio guest and has held a progressive nutrition practice and has been a product development consultant for many years.
John Costello has over 30 years of experience in consumer products and services, retail and technology. The first half of his career was spent in classic management jobs, with the second half helping companies drive innovation and navigate high change environments, from startups to $70 billion companies.
He was one of the early leaders of omni-channel marketing and retailing to leverage the synergies between retail stores, catalogs, DR TV, the Internet and eCommerce to drive total sales and profit and is considered a leader in the digital transformation of marketing and retail.
John currently serves as CEO of Costello Ventures/Bottom Line Branding since retiring as President – Global Marketing and Innovation of Dunkin’ Brands (the parent company of Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins), where he was part of the senior leadership team during its successful 2011 IPO. He previously served as Executive Vice President of The Home Depot, Chief Global Marketing Officer of Yahoo, Senior VP of Pepsi-Cola USA, CEO of MVP.com and President of Nielsen Marketing Research US. He began his career at Procter & Gamble and rose to lead all advertising and marketing for P&G’s Beauty Care Division. Costello been recognized as one of most influential and innovative executives by numerous organizations, one of the Top 10 Merchants by DSN Retailing Today and was elected to both the Chief Marketing Officer Hall of Fame and Retail Advertising Hall of Fame. He has significant governance experience, serving as a current or past Director of Ace Hardware, The Quaker Oats Company, The Bombay Company, American Film Institute, Ring, Inc. (which was acquired by Amazon), GroundTruth, Inc. and Yellowstone Forever, and as an Advisor to Untuckit, WinView Games and Linkwell Health. Costello is also past Chairman of the Mobile Marketing Association, the Association of National Advertisers and the Advertising Council.
Mr. Lonsdale is President and CEO of The Lonsdale Group, a boutique finance and advisory firm investing in small cap public and private companies.
Previously he was for ten years the President of Allegiance Capital Corporation, a private investment bank focusing on mergers and acquisitions, with offices in Dallas, New York, and Chicago. Mr. Lonsdale has successfully built and sold three venture-funded information technology companies, including selling one of them to Microsoft. Earlier in his career, he managed corporate divisions of McDonnell Douglas/Boeing and Dun & Bradstreet/A C Nielsen.
He obtained his MBA in Finance & Marketing from Cornell University and his B.Sc. in Physics & Mathematics from the University of Leeds in the U.K.
